       Organizing Legal Observers for "O-8"
        ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `

Looking to the October 8 `Bush-Kerry` presidential debate in St. Louis,
we are setting up a team of Legal Observers for expressive activities
around this major political event.

       Able Volunteers are invited to join the crew, learn the skills,
       and prepare for this event... and others in the future.

PCU_/Free Assembly Project upholds distinct public interests in
supporting First Amendment exercise, and protecting the civil rights
and safety of participants.  We have a respected track record in this
work at public forums and assemblies around the country.

       Being an Observer takes a commitment... there is a discipline
       to witnessing & documenting facts properly, and following up
       effectively in accord with legal practices.

Attendance at an Orientation meeting and subsequent Training session
will be required.  In addition, volunteers will be counted on to
pool resources and assist in team plans & preparations.

       * Orientation Meeting:  Monday, 27 Sept. 2004 ~ 7 PM
       * Training Session:  (to be determined...)
