	__MEETING, NO-SHOWS:

The "IndyReporters' Plenary" took place Sunday evening as
planned... a few folks duly called in, but attendance was thin. We
got some work done anyway.
Sorry about Mothers' Day, and whoever missed the message or the point.

We're trying to max the coverage on the National Conference for
Media Reform, and bring back timely reportage on these issues.
Cooperating on this means taking on complementary assignments and
pooling information from as many topical sessions as possible, to
everyone's advantage. Such a meeting is not a trivial distraction -
it is where the formative work is shared and tactical agreements are
made... part of the job. No-shows just make it harder.

OK... there is still time to coordinate efforts in the next couple days.
Based on the <http://www.freepress.net/conference/=sessions>latest
Conference Agenda [or the
<http://www.freepress.net/conference/program04.19.05.pdf>pdf version,
4my05] previously referenced, you can identify slots you want to
cover and consider where you are needed. Think about getting info
that might be valuable to others.

If you want to know more about the thrust of the various
sessions, FreePress has just posted the final Conference Program. It
includes descriptive details on each, along with some minor changes
from the earlier version above.

I'm not Emperor Ming trying to Rule the Cosmos...
I'm just compiling the schedule for contributing IndyReporters...
PLEASE CALL (yes, phone is best) TO PIN DOWN YOUR PLANS.

	__NEXT STEPS:

* Press credentials for the Conference will be confirmed for 5 more
IndyReporters who came forward, per communiques with FreePress today.
With other arrangements by "IMCistas, Confluenzas & Comunicadores of
St. Louis...", these circles will be pretty well represented. We can
pull in a healthy body of reportage - if we pull together.

* The crunch is on to ready the IMC_St.L website for action this
week. I've spoken with a few folks about setting up a feature page
on the Conference, where reports can be published right away... will
see what works. I also checked out the Millenium Hotel, and
confirmed that there is wireless internet access on-site, so this
resource is available. We need to work out simple procedures for all
this, and get instructions out by mid-week.

* Going into the sessions, it's a good idea to record the
proceedings, for your reference as a reporter, at least. (FreePress
is also getting audio on it all, but the tracks will not be available
for awhile.) If you need a recorder - or have a tape/digital device
that can be used - get in touch, and we'll pool the tools and try to
get everyone equipped.

WE CAN DO THIS, HEAVE HO.
