4th Annual All-You-Can-Eat
Pancake Breakfast!

Yum! Fresh pancakes! The Confluence newspaper is holding its 4th Annual
All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, November 11, 2006 from 9am
to 1pm at the Black Bear Bakery. The Black Bear Bakery recently moved to
the gorgeously-renovated historic Vandora Theater building, featuring 18
foot ceilings and a mezzanine. The Pancake Breakfast will feature a large
variety of delicious all-natural organic pancakes including multigrain,
whole grain, and vegan pancakes and corncakes. Also included are a variety
of scrumptious fruit toppings. Confluence volunteers and Black Bear bakers
will serve up the yummy pancakes. The $7 suggested donation will benefit
the non-profit Confluence newspaper. Kids are very welcome! (Their
donation is negotiable.)

Confluence is a free and independent quarterly journal with a circulation
of 11,000, produced cooperatively and distributed through out the bi-state
region. In addition to environmental and urban affairs, the Confluence
covers labor and social justice issues and the arts as well as race,
gender and sexuality from an anti-authoritarian perspective.

We seek to educate, agitate, and inspire people to cooperatively improve
their own lives, their neighborhoods and the global community. Delivering
independent investigative news coverage, the Confluence also provides a
forum for critical essays, media reviews, art, poetry and humor aimed at
inciting social and political transformation.
