Journalists, Artists & Allies:

       This is a continuing forum on the future of IMC-StL as a media 
organization, and how to build it.  Stakeholders are urged to plug in 
to make it happen... Brainstorm Session #2 is Monday evening.

	Session #1 convened on March 15, and it was a good meeting, 
covering a lot of ground.  After some healthy scoping on the 
prospects, we arrived at these interim moves to ORGANIZE:

      Now:	Constituting a Working Group... IMC "Brainstorms" as 
interim advisory forums,
`		enabling decisions & a new 'Collective' via agreed Guidelines.

      Next:	Defining a Working Process... regenerate basic IMC 
operations & crews,
		refine tasks & protocols for cooperations, restore 
monthly meetings.

      Soon:	Strategic Planning... build on scoping ideas to build 
real capacities,
		plan steps for IMC-StL's evolution as a major media source.

       TO DO ~  First Steps__

         [1]	Crew-Building:    3 major areas -- Editorial, Tech-Ops, Co-Ops
         [2]	Targeted Outreach:   Public/Media org'ns - 
contributors, links, allies.
         [3]	Research IMC Strategies:  How other IMC's deal with 
these problems.
         [4]	Public Event:   Plenary workshop w/ broad 
involvement, proposals in play.
         [5]	Journalism Training:   Build grassroots skills - how 
to get a story.


	This is a going process, creating new directions for IMC-StL 
and heading there.

	And again --
	RSVP re:  interest, ideas, intent to attend... agenda 
suggestions welcome.

to savvy folks.
