Homage to our Heroes altar,
*built by Jerome Gaynor and including art by the Soulard School
Thrivers and Mosaics, jason wallace triefenbach, jake cruzen, Code
Pink's Laurie Meier, the Drawing Circle and the CAMP after-school
program's MANOS PODEROSAS

perhaps
you'll walk down the street,
stopping to peer in at each of the altars marked by
Peat Wollaeger's Heart-Skully Stencil

maybe
you'll come across La Catrina-- death herself,
ready to help you release & bury your loss in her shopping-cart turned
casket
-- be(a)ware!

You are Invited
to bring your piece ---
a candle, a photograph, a Special Secret Thing to add to
the Community Altar across from Globe Drug on Cherokee and Texas,
designed by Kelsey LaPoint and Willy Zepp.
