     A STATE OF EMERGENCY now exists with race relations in St. Louis.
The mayor just ousted and publicly humiliated the City’s first and only
black fire chief, and then immediately promoted 27 white firefighters,
while promoting only 7 blacks – in a city where blacks are 52% of the
population.



     The mayor has a history of playing racial politics, and a history
of ignoring the wishes of the people.   The Unity Rally is to show the
power of the people – of all races – to stand against this racial and
social injustice.
