No More Stolen Lives—At Home or Abroad!

Local organizations and individuals will engage in a weekend of activities to recognize “No More Victims-At Home or Abroad!’ October 19-22, 2007. Citizens are asked to wear black on these days. The national theme of the October 22 National Day Against Police Brutality has been expanded to include opposition to the war, the death penalty and the criminal justice system.
The Coalition Against Police Crimes and Repression will hold its annual action against police brutality on Monday, October 22 at the Carpenter Branch Library, 3309 S. Grand Avenue at 7:00 pm. There will be a libation ceremony for those who have lost loved ones to war, police murder and state executions. Included will be those who have spiritually and emotionally lost their lives from unjustly incarcerations or from police violence.
