Kiener Plaza-dntn., St.Louis
Beijing cannot continue with rampant political oppression, mass
executions, forced abortions, illicit organ harvesting, religious
persecution, and othe HR abuses. Therefore, IT'S OUR DUTY TO PUT HUMAN
RIGHTS ON THE AGENDA WHILE THEY ARE LISTENING! The Olympics and Crimes
against Humanity cannot coexist in China. www.HumanRightsTorch.org Come,
and you'll learn more about Chinese citizens held as political prisoners,
Falun Gong prisoners, and exercise your freedom of speech! We'll be in
PINK along with you and your signs relating to human rights.
Lastly, I just returned from New Orleans and want to share some of the
inspiring experience with you: A delegation of 4 StL PINKs stayed at
Common Ground in New Orleans' horrendously flooded 9th Ward and supporting
Eve Ensler's 10th anniversary of Vagina Monologues (V-Day) with thousands
of women from all over the world. We turned the Super Dome into a giant
seed of SUPERLOVE, participated in the "most amazing parade I've ever
witessed" (as said by world traveller extraordinaire, our local Jon Jung),
and held the stories honoring the 1200 women who returned to NOLA for this
event after being displaced by hurricane Katrina.
See photos on CODEPINK's website here.
If you'd like to join CODEPINK's Virtual VDAY Conference Call at 8 pm this
Thursday night, April 17, click here.
Peace and LOVE LOVE LOVE,
