Dear STLC Hello all darling folks who left part of their hearts in BoloZone!  This year is the 10-year anniversary of Bolo Zone, in honor of this, as well as the fact that it's leaking something amazing, we are replacing the roof.  We are sending out a humble request for funds and support.



The roof has 5 layers of shingles on it.  When it rains (and it has been a wet year) water leaks in multiple places that are damaging the wood underneath and causing the plaster to crumble off.  As might imagine this is unsustainable.  Perhaps the roof was a little crumbly when you moved in or visited.  Perhaps it needed a new roof then.  Maybe you were broke and the roof wasn't actually leaking on your head.   Well now, folks, the waters pour in. Really.To assist us in this pricy project any amount of dollars would be helpful in getting us closer to dry safe house.  We have a few hundred dollars so far, and the project's estimated cost will be $2000.   This amount is what Jack will do the job for.   This does not include the tear off, which we will have to do on our own.  It is a very good price though, for the roof work (including materials), and Jack is a professional and a friend of the community.  So, what's been going on at the Bolo compound, you might ask?  Well we've been hard at work making our little plot more sustainable and beautiful.  We gutted the spare room and re-vamped it, we refinished the kitchen floor (so now we eat on the floors and walk on the tables), the garden is filled with nutritious manure and is overflowing with all sorts of goodies, Billy and Monica (bought Brenda's house last year) now are raising chickens, have a garden to envy and a new roof, Dann put a new roof on his abode last spring and a skylight.  There are lots more projects in the works!As a former resident or friend of Bolo you owe us nothing, please feel no guilt if you can't afford it, but the years and years have really worn on and right now is really the best time to fork over your money to put a, long talked about, new roof on BoloZone.If you would like to donate please contact Alyssa Hill (alyssastinky at gmail.com  (314) 827-7490) or Gretchen Schlump (gschlump at gmail.com) and we will work out the details.
