Hello and welcome to the St. Louis and Eastern Missouri area volunteer
group,

I'm Jessica Post, and along with Lee Cordova, Brian DeSmet and Erin
Noble, we are getting volunteer petitioning started in St. Louis. Our
fearless leader, PJ Wilson, is also receiving this email.

*We have two signature gathering trainings coming up this week and next:*

*Signature Gathering Happy Hour, Friday, March 21 at 5:30 p.m. at
CooperElla*

Meet us in the heart of Maplewood, at CooperElla, on Friday, March 21 at
5:30 p.m. for a signature gathering happy hour. We'll conduct a short
volunteer training, and support this locally owned business. They offer
sandwiches, coffee, teas, wine, and Schlafly beer products. We can
practice our petitioning best practices around downtown Maplewood after
the event.

Cooper Ella is located at 7401 Hazel, Maplewood, MO 63143 Click here for
maps and directions.

To RSVP, please reply to this email, or call Jessica Post at 573-230-9807.

*Signature Gathering Training at Wash U, Monday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m.
*
Join the best students activists in the region for a signature gathering
training on the Wash U campus. The training is 7 pm on Monday, March 24
in Friedman Lounge, which is in the Wohl Center on the South Forty
(accessible via Shepley Drive).

Nonstudents can park in metered spaces on the Wash U campus, on the left
before the Wohl Center. For a campus parking map, or for questions,
email Jessica Post at jessica.post at gmail.com
<mailto:jessica.post at gmail.com>, or on the day of the event, email or
call Brian DeSmet at bdesmet at moenviron.org
<mailto:bdesmet at moenviron.org> or 314-727-0600.

Together, we'll work to get 45,000 signatures here in the St. Louis
region. We're collecting signatures in the 1st Congressional district,
represented by Rep. Lacy Clay, the 2nd Congressional district,
represented by Rep. Todd Akin, the third Congressional district,
represented by Rep. Russ Carnahan, and finally, the 9th Congressional
district, represented by retiring Rep. Kenny Hulshof. (You can enter
your address at www.votesmart.org <http://www.votesmart.org/>, if you
are uncertain Congressional district you live in.)

We'll be checking in with each of you this week, but if you have
volunteer questions in the St. Louis region, please feel free to email
or call me. We're working hard to beat the April 25th deadline!

*Also---if you are circulating----please get your petitions notarized
and turn in your petitions WEEKLY! This will help us make strategic
decisions here in St. Louis.
*
Thank you!
