MoHE is specifically focused on the problems associated with using
touch screen voting equipment. It is important that the public be
aware of the problems that exist with this expensive equipment.
Optical scanning equipment is subject to the same computer problems
reported in touch screen equipment. However, the paper ballots can
(and should) be hand counted for verification of the machine counts.
In order for the counting of paper ballots to be reliable, it needs to
be done very quickly and carefully after the polls close, preferably
at the polling place before the ballots are transported to a central
facility. In some countries, the vote counts are posted immediately at
each polling place, for all interested parties to see. Such
transparent elections go a long way toward supporting democracies.

In order for MoHE to get the attention of the election authorities, we
need a lot of people to be aware of the issues and to speak up.
Democracy requires that our votes are counted correctly.

This film will be shown in the bamboo floor room. enter through the
 3026 door on Minnesota Street.
