[imc-st.louis] Fwd: next alternative media collective meeting in St. Louis

A friend in Seattle picked up this item off the US-IMC listserv, and 
sent it on.
Curious, this announcement of a media meeting in St. Louis was not 
posted to this 'StL-IMC' Newslist -- where interested local folks 
might see it, and maybe show up.

Especially since 'StL-IMC' bizness is on the agenda, this forum 
should be informed, one would think.  Any initiative to 
"reinvigorate" the IMC is welcome and needed, but be clear on the 
premises:

"Confluence" is a proprietary journal with a point-of-view... it can 
certainly call a meeting and form a "collective" to support its 
publication, and good reportage from there can surely contribute to 
the IMC website.

'St. Louis IMC' is an open public news resource with many 
perspectives... as a media organization it serves the whole 
community, enables diverse ideas, and must be truly and fully 
'Independent' to do its job.

By consensus last year, StL-IMC general meetings are to be held on 
the 2nd Sunday each month.  After the latest lapse, it's a good time 
to reconvene:
       Next StL-IMC meeting -- Sunday, 14 Sep.'08, 7 PM.. location TBD.
