For those of you who use the Bike and Ride services of Metro, or even
if you just use buses and trains in general or want them to be there,
here is a chance to have some input on the future of the service
though a series of public meetings. I hope the html comes through. If
it doesn't and you need the information, please let me know and I'll
do a more careful copy/paste job to get you the information.
Thanks
Patty

Welcome to Metro's electronic magazine! You are receiving this
e-zine because of your connection to Metro or your interest in
regional transit issues.
Metro Public Hearings Begin Today
A series of 15 public meetings begin at noon today. These meetings
will provide an opportunity for your voice to be heard regarding the
future of public transit in the region. The St. Louis Region is at a
crossroads and your opinion is important in deciding which way the
region will go.
A presentation on the status of the transit system will be made at
each meeting. Also at each meeting, attendess will be able to comment
"on the record" about their reaction to potential service cuts. For
more information, visit www.metrostlouis.org/crossroads and attend a
meeting at a location near you.
Comments may also be forwarded via e-mail to
Crossroads2009 at metrostlouis.org; by phone at (800) 923-3029; in
writing to Metro, 707 N. 1st Street, St. Louis, MO 63102, Attention:
Planning-Crossroads 2009. All comments must be received by close of
business October 3.
If you are hearing or sight impaired and require an interpreter or
other assistance, a request for such service must be received by Metro
at least three (3) days in advance of the public hearing you wish to
attend by calling (314) 982-1525 or TTY (314) 982-1509. Metro will
provide an interpreter at the Metro Headquarters public hearing on
September 29, 2008.
