Human and animal illnesses are usually what we hear are connected to
Confined Animal Feeding Operations, where thousands of animals are kept
in small pens. But CAFOs can be disastrous for Missouri’s rural
economies, especially those attracting tourism. Host Don Fitz and
Kathleen Logan-Smith of the Missouri Coalition for the Environment and
Russ Kremer of the Missouri Farmers Union discuss problems with CAFOs.
