*“Lead in St. Louis Schools”*

In October 2008 parents expressed concern with lead contamination at Roe
School, the new location of the Early Childhood Center. After pressure,
the appointed Special Administrative Board (SAB) said that money for
lead abatement was found. Months since the problem was made public, has
the SAB removed the lead? Host Don Fitz, School Board member Donna
Jones, and Daren O’Brien, Vice-President of Kennard CJA PTO, discuss the
role of St. Louis government in protecting children’s health. This
Green Time (No. 310) is produced by the Gateway Greens in conjunction
with KDHX. Call 314-727-8554 or contact fitzdon at aol.com for information.
