The Occupy Wall Street movement has been one of the most inspirational
developments of recent times. It brings to mind the great sit-down strike
wave of 1937, civil rights demonstrations and anti-Vietnam War actions.
People across the globe are beginning to fight back against never ending
war, rampant racism, economic collapse and environmental destruction.
International Workers Day (May Day) is a time for people to honor and
extend the struggles of labor to protect its rights and defend social
justice. It is a time for all of us to realize our power to create a just
society.
If you can bring a salad or vegetable dish to donate to the dinner, call
314-727-8554.
