summary: synde.i.o is a syndication-site for all german-language IMCs

a few people from IMC germany and IMC switzerland have proposed a
germany-language syndication IMC in oct 2006. [1]

role model were oceania.indy [2] and indymedia.us. [3]

the name "synde" stands for "syndication" and "deutsch" (german).
it's a wordplay, since the similar-sounding germany "sünde" (sin) should
be easier to remember than all the other proposals during the name
discussion.

the proposal was accepted on imc-germany, imc-austria,
imc-ch-editorial-de and imc-ch-process.

a list imc-synde [4] was fouded. feel free to join :)

a few people have coded up a first version. a preview is available. [5]

the site crawls feeds from german-language IMCs, right now imc-germany,
imc-austria, the german speaking part of imc-ch and the german feature
translation part of indy global.
it then generates a static site using the abstracts from the feeds. the
full content is however linked to the originating sites.

the site itself does not have any posting-form.

if there is no objection in a week, we will put the dns of
"synde.indymedia.org" to that site.

deutschsprachiges syndication IMC vorgeschlagen. [1]

vorbild waren oceania.indy [2] und indymedia.us. [3]

der name "synde" steht fuer "syndication" und "deutsch".
es ist ein wortspiel, denn das aehnlich klingende wort "sünde" schien
der am einfachsten zu merkende begriff der ganzen namens-diskussion.

der vorschlag wurde von imc-germany, imc-austria, imc-ch-editorial-de
und imc-ch-process angenommen.

eine liste imc-synde [4] wurde gegruendet. beteiligt euch doch :)

ein paar leute haben eine erste version gecodet: [5]

die seite crawlt feeds der deutschsprachigen IMCs, bisher imc-germany,
imc-austria, den deutschsprachigen teil von imc-ch und die deutschen
uebersetzungen von indy global.
dann wird eine statische seite garantiert, die aus den abstracts aus den
feeds besteht. der inhalt selbst linkt jedoch zu den originalen seiten.

die seite selbst hat kein posting-formular.

wenn es innerhalt einer woche keine widersprüche gibt, werden wir den
dns "synde.indymedia.org" zu dieser seite zeigen lassen.
