Subject: Indymedia Research Project

I'm doing some research on the preservation of Indymedia content and
I thought you might be a good person to talk to. I'm a consulting
archivist earning my Master's Degree in Library Science at Queens
College. I'm involved with bicycle and pedestrian advocacy and
work closely with Time's Up. I have a number of friends involved with
Indymedia and I'm looking at how Indymedia's content is being
preserved for future generations.

I'm interested in researching if and how indymedia has set up an
archives or retention schedule. I'm trying to interview people that
have dealt with these issues either in NYC or other indymedia
collectives. The interview would likely take about 30 minutes and
for the final product I'm hoping to create a set of recommendations
that Indymedia could use to help shape their retention/archives
policy. If you think that you might be able to help with this
process, please let me know. If you have any suggestions and contact
information for other people that might be able to help, that would be
greatly appreciated as well.
Thank you!

Rachael
