Hi!

I have been cleaning up the ImcDocsTech topic (and several others) five
times along the past five days as there has been resubmissions of
commercial spam to this topic (and several others) every day.

All of these submissions were made using the TWikiGuest account. As I
don't feel like I'm able to deal with daily spam removal, I have
deactivated the TWikiGuest account for now. This option had been
discussed previously within IMC Docs and the common perception is that
it is an acceptable burden to ask people to create their own dedicated
accounts.

This does not mean that much is lost in respect to anonymity, privacy or
security. The only difference is that changes to a topic can now be
traced back to a specific user account, which will be bound to an email
address and an activist/volunteer in that way as that we require an
existing email address and IMC to be given on account registrations.

I believe this is asking for much less information than other sites and
services within the Indymedia network do, nevertheless I am (and I'm
sure the other IMC Docs volunteers, too) open to discussion on the
imc-docs mailing list in case there's any dissent with this change.
