[IMC-Tech] [announce] IMCPub initial version

Hey guys (portuguese below),

this week we had a techmeet gathering in Campinas, and 
after some discussion, we started talking about some 
interesting tech projects related to IMC. And we had the 
idea of starting development on a bunch of clients to 
publish stuff to IMC sites (with support for as many CMSs
as possible). The idea actually started when we thought
about having an IMC publishing software made for mobile 
phones, with support for recording both images/videos and
sound, and publishing on the go (hopefully from where the
action is). 
We started development on this yesterday, and it's already
somewhat working (but people who are interested in this should
probably reconsider what they understand from the word 'working'
hehehe).
We are developing everything in python. So far, we have 
started programming 3 clients :
1) A console based client, which parses the command line for 
it's input (it's the only one actually working, we were
able to publish some stuff with it)
2) A GKT based client, only the skeleton so far
3) A Symbian S60 client, which only has some boilerplate code, 
none of us has ever programmed for cellphones before, 
but it should start getting some heavier investment in a bit

We've started adding support for SF-Active and MIR, but
we've only tested SF-Active since we couldn't find any
(online) MIR test sites available, if you know of one please
contact us. 

And, if you would like to help with anything (code, testing, 
documentation, etc.), please get in touch too.

Ae moçada,

essa semana bombou o techmeet Campinas, quem perdeu perdeu,
mas podem ter outros, nao se sintam tristes, e depois de alguma
discussão a gente decidiu que tem que mudar ou ... mudar de vez.
hehehehehe
falando mais sério agora, durante a discussão a gente comecou
a pensar em projetos tech relacionados ao CMI que poderiam ser
bombados, e a gente teve a idéia de desenvolvers uma série de 
clientes pra publicar conteúdo em sites do CMI (tendo suporte 
ao maior numero possivel de CMSs diferentes, alguem sabe qual o
plural de CMS ???). A idéia comecou quando a gente tava pensando
em criar um software de publicação no CMI pra celulares, com
suporte a gravação de imagens/videos e som, e publicar "na hora
do lance", diretamente de onde tao acontecendo as coisas. 
A gente começou a bombar o esquema ontem, e já tá parcialmente 
funcional, dependendo do seu conceito de funcional. 
Tá tudo sendo escrito em Python. Até agora, a gente começou a 
programar 3 clientes diferentes :
1) CLI, ou linha de comando, que parseia a entrada que você 
passa pra ele (é o unico que ta realmente conseguindo publicar
algo no momento, ja fizemos alguns testes).
2) Grafico com GTK, só tem ainda uns esqueletos de interface
3) Cliente pra celulares Symbian S60, ainda só um códigozinho
esqueleto, pq nenhum de nos nunca programou porra nenhuma pra
celular, mas estamos pra começar a bombar fortemente ele.

Começamos adicionando suporte ao SF-Active e ao MIR, mas só
rolou de testar até agora com o SF-Active mesmo pq não tem 
nenhum site de teste do MIR em pé do qual a gente tenha 
conhecimento (manda informação se usteds souberem de um).
