The UK connection is that the trial being talked about involves the
murder of a british backpacker. So I will unhide in 24 hours unless
there are objections.
If we follow this, then are we going to hide everything about palestine,
china, zapatista, USA ... if there is no direct relevance to the UK?
And where in the editorial guidelines does it say that news has to be
about the UK? If you want to propose to add that to the guidelines then
we can have a debate about it ...
At the most I think we should make sure the "World" region is ticked and
untick UK. With that option available I can see no reason to hide world
news. And most of the international news I see on the newswire i think
is appropriate for the front page.
