"afaik" is not understood. Presumably editing is prohibited.
Clarification is needed about what happens to items marked as world. Do
all IMCs get it or is it lost in a limbo attached to UKindy, only seen
by those who go there from UK?
There is a term in the guidelines that says may. You are allowed to use
your own judgment, but it seems you are always very severe. That
actually helps save me from trawling through everything on UK, I get
enough good stuff from what you hide, and only go to UKindy to get the
full URL of source. for example, I think 326339 gives useful mischief
making information, I have just added its URL to a comment about Bird flu .
But perhaps you are right, it is not part of the UKindymedia guidelines
that the United Kingdom establishment be demoralised.

>>Hiding implies something is unsuitable for viewing.
>>There is a newswire, is that the same all over the world or is it only UK? Do items hidden in UK appear on world as hidden. Could they just be moved to world instead.
>>There is copyright sense in dumping, not hiding, corporate reposts, but a URL with a few words on its subject that then clicks directly to the corporate news item should not be hidden. No Editor knows what the reader needs are. Is it too much work to replace corporate re-posts with the URL? Posting could be encouraged in that form, so that there is much less editing time called for.....
