But I think the proposal is that there IS a link to the originals.

Even though I'm a photographer for a living, I don't subscribe to the 
view that big pictures are better. It's like, if you shout loud, it 
doesn't mean what you've got to say is therefore more important.

(Nobody have a cow, this is not directed at any individual).

To me, a picture may be worth a thousand words - but then so are a 
hundred better chosen words.

The very best reports are a combination of words and pictures, and 
the ability to somehow link these two together would be great.

I reckon we have a good working newswire at the moment that does its 
job, could be improved but there's no great urgency. I'd rather wait 
and see if we can maybe create a format that helps us get the story 
across - physically linking pix and words would be a good step 
forward.
