Yesterday I hide comment containing a personal address and took steps
to prevent a repeat posting.
Turns out the address was for an BPP person (apparently) and the
poster apparently an anti-fash person.
The so-called anti-fash threads are incredibly immature and
pathetic... nothing more than petty insults
and baiting. The 'news' justifying the articles is usually some rumor
about the BPP shutting down or
some kind of infighting in the party.
The comments usually consist of name calling and childish jokes,
quite often accompanied by
photoshopped photos etc.
Most comments need to be hidden on the basic of their abusive and
discriminatory nature
(for example, sexist jokes aimed at the fash from the antifash) etc.
I'd like to deal with the source of the problem and hide the original
articles as disruptive rather
than waste time (and indymedia drive space) with hidding repeatedly
uploads photos of
fat women with photoshopped svastikas and the words 'your mum'
what do people think?
