[Imc-uk-features] Proposal: new topic on housing

Hi IMCers

Housing - privatisation, PFI, demolitions, gentrification, RSLs, end of secure tenancies... - is going to become a more regular posting on Indymedia.

In Leeds, the council is going to get rid of 10-20,000 council homes in the next decade under the guise of regeneration.

Every city in the UK is suffering the same assault on low cost housing.

There are already plenty of stories in the newswire on gentrification and housing - they currently don't have a natural home. In fact, there are plenty of postings that don't have one either.

I'd to propose that a housing topic be created. It will enable a really useful RSS feed to be downloadable onto tenants grouos websites etc, making Indymedia more relevant to those groups and increasing awareness and use of it.
