Sorry. My mistake. I read on this list that somebody had posted  
Fisk's article from the independent so when I saw the title and name  
Fisk I wrongly assumed that it was a repost of his article.

Actually chris appears to be the one selectively reading. The subject  
is the only place it is presented as an international call. The rest  
of the text and the official website all refer only to the USA and it  
being a national call to americans regarding their government. The  
events mentioned in the article are all 'local' events.

While we have in the last year or so grown much more tolerant to  
allowing event announcements in the newswire, we specifically telling  
people "If you want to announce an event please use the calendar. "  
so obviously there is something of a policy against having events in  
the newswire but we are currently choosing to be flexible due to how  
crap the calender is.

So, just how useful is it to put american events in the UK newswire?
