As everyone seems to have been spammed with this mail off-list I've just
bounced the on-list version that was held for moderation.

At the moment it would be nice to have some more active moderators of
the list. Volunteers pop into irc.indymedia.org#uk or e-mail me?

Given the measures some are using to disrupt an already pretty fragile
discussion I'm heading towards joining others I have spoken to who want
more stringent moderation of this list. I think this should only be
temporary and should be reviewed on a monthly basis.
Starting now: All new members are put under moderation, this can just be
as membership starts and lifted in time. The membership list shouldn't
be public either, as it is being abused.
Next stage: Approval of membership. Stage three: Moderation of list. I
really don't want to get to stage three.

These are only technical sticking plasters over a political issue, that
should be discussed by active IMCers, on-list, and also face-to-face.
