I have just received the following abusive message and I have replied immediately to it.
 
Ah yes,
I note. You the collective editorial of uk imc are a bunch of complete and fucking wankers.
That includes those I once respected
Left v Right that's your limited perspective.
Don't expect anything more than derision from me

This is the reply that I sent:
Dear Paul,
Yes, you are quite right. Something is going wrong here from time to time.
There really should be some feedback to people who are trying to post their news on Indymedia but who do not succeed because their work does not measure up to the high standards expected.
At the very least the moderators should send a quick message of encouragement with reasons for removing posts from the newswire, as well as some advice about what should be done in future to get your work accepted. It is not right for well meaning people to be treated with contempt.
Please accept my apologies. I wish I could do more to help and I hope this is of some comfort to you.

I suspect this is something to do with the hiding of stories which the writers put a lot of effort into and believed were very important especially since they may have been about the current terrorism panic in the mainstream media and the behaviour of the US and the UK governments.
In view of the need for us all to try to get along and respect each other in this climate of very disturbing events I would like to suggest that the moderators try to keep the goodwill of their friends.
With the Camp for Climate Action coming up very soon and the likely violence from the police we are all going to need to be able to work together as closely as possible without this kind of abuse.
