Hello
Personally I support the feature going up to the front page, but:
Having said that, this is not a criticism, just a comment.

I still think that the bit in the content with references to tabloids
and politicians jumping on the band wagon of climate change alarm give
a bit of bad smell to the featue, if you see what i mean :-)

Sorry, I a bit confused now. What wiki. I've gone to the wiki you
pointed:
https://docs.indymedia.org/view/Local/NottsFeaturePage2
and in there the feature is quite different from the one in the Climate
Chaos page. So I am not sure where to add the suggestions i pot below.
Actually, the link I propose ins included in the wiki version of the
feature, but not in the one appaearing in the Climate Chaos page.
Am I in the wrong wiki? ... (apologies for my poor wikiness :-)
Anyway, the changes I propose are minor. Basically to add this article:
A new weather front:
http://www.turbulence.org.uk/anewweatherfront.html
That I think puts climate change as a political issue rather than just
an environmental one.
And also, I think that it would be worth to make clear in the feature
the fact that it is the global south which will get worst hit by
climate chaos. Just a sentence stating that would do the job i guess.
I make some changes (in caps) to the paragraph in the context box:
Even the tabloids AND POLITICIANS are NOW JUMPING IN THE 'CLIMATE CHAOS
BANG WAGON' (not sure about spelling) AND ARE FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGING
CLIMATE CHANGE AS A MAJOR ISSUE FACING HUMANITY. THEY HAVE RECENTLY
LINKED the storms to climate change, WHICH IS NOT ONLY STATING THE
OBVIOUS, BUT MOREOVER ACCEPTING MANY OF THE ISSUES CLIMATE CHANGE
ACTIVISTS HAVE BEEN CLAIMING FOR YEARS. The Mirror reported that "Flood
damage is becoming more common because of global warming" while warning
that insurance companies will increasingly refuse to insure homes built
on flood plains. The (former) Prime Minister, Tony Blair said that he
thought the floods were related to such major global issues in his
joint press conference with Arnold Schwarzenegger. While the met office
warns of further storms to come during the next week, Sir David King
warned that in the long-term, as Greenland ice disappeared, rising sea
levels would wipe out Britain's coastal town and cities. "The message
that climate change is the biggest change our civilisation has ever had
to face up to is getting out there. It's almost become fashionable to
talk about it, but fashions come and go," he said and warned that the
current interest in global warming had to be more than a passing fad.
WHAT NO POLITICIAN AND MAINSTREAM TABLOID SEEMS TO ACKNOWLEDGE AS YET
IS THE FACT THAT CLIMATE CHANGE HAS BEEN PRIMARILY PROVOKED BY THE
GLOBAL NORTH'S SENSELESS DRIVE FOR DEPLETING THE EARTH'S NATURAL
RESOURCES, AND ITS UNHINDERED NEED FOR A NEVER ENDING CONSUMERISM. THE
VERY SAME POLITICIANS NOW SO CONCERNED WITH CLIMATE CHANGE STILL REFUSE
TO ACCPET THAT IT IS THE PEOPLE LIVING IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH WHICH WILL
SUFFER CLIMATE CHAOS FIRST AND MORE AGGRESSIVELY, CAUSING UNCOUNTABLE
DEVASTATION, INCLUDING DEATH, MASS MIGRATION, FOOD AND ENERGY SORTAGES,
AND SO ON.
Don't know, i've written this from the top of my head, but I sure that
there are folk in this list that could put it more eloquently than me
:-)
Cheers
