Hi
There are lots of points in lots of emails that I want to
respond to and I might find time to do this sometime...
First though I think we need an article that there is more
agreement on -- I don't think there has ever been a
feature article that has been as controversial as this
(though the numerous complaints about it have only been on
this list and not as comments on the article...), and it's
been controversial for a lot of stated reasons and perhaps
some unstated ones (it's opposition to imperialism?), so I
have unticked UK, Scotland and London on the article now
so it can only be found on the Terror War topic page and
I've started a revised version of the feat here:
https://docs.indymedia.org/view/Local/UkFeatureLondonGlasgowTerror#Version_2_London_and_Glasgow_Bro
There is now a promoted newswire article about a protest
in Glasgow against the terror attacks which links to mp3's
of speeches from the government and cops in addition to
trade union, religious and community leaders and the StWC:
http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2007/07/375736.html
So linking to this will addresses the concern that
features should always link to 'grassroots' protests.
Nafeez Ahmed's article, "whose bombs?" is politically the
most interesting one on these attacks and I'd like to
write more about this article and his work -- the most
vocal critic of the 9/11 truth Movement on this list,
"Anne Elk" has a lot of time for Nafeez Ahmed and so do
Notes from the Borderland aka 9/11 Cult Watch, he is their
first recommended author:
http://www.911cultwatch.org.uk/911cult_009.htm
His work is also highly regarded by people who don't
believe the official story of 9/11 so I can't see how
anyone could have a problem with his work being linked to?
An interesting angle I want to do some work on is the
extent to which his article on our site:
http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2007/07/375302.html
Is radically different to what the Independant published
by him:
http://comment.independent.co.uk/commentators/article2725644.ece
http://nafeez.blogspot.com/2007/07/widening-net-lets-bombers-slip-through.html
In additon he is speaking at a meeting in London on Friday
and hopefully there will be a mp3 of this on the site that
can also be linked in:
http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2007/07/374991.html
I'll also link in all the newswire articles on the failed
'bomb' attacks (apart from the hidden ones that suggest it
was a false flag op).
Shiar has said he can help with it over the weekend so in
a few days there should be a revised version that might
make everyone happy :-)
