In the past i've promoted event announcements that had some really good
and/or important background that wouldn't otherwise be on the newswire,
i.e. they could stand as promotable articles regardless of the
announcement. For example, an anti-deportation demo call giving the whole
story of the person to be deported which hadn't previously appeared on the
newswire.
