Ok, shiar's proposal for the g8-2007 page sounds good to me, and for 
the uk's front page i  also agree with what LordRich says about "keep 
updating the uk startpage special with links to what's going on rather 
than keep writing uk features for each day ."

Before seeing these mails I've actually did that. I mean, I've updated 
the uk's startpage special with summaries to saturday and sunday 
events. These are basically a paragraph for each with an overview of 
what's gone on during the day, and then linking to the reports 
published in the uk wires. This aims to have a feature for the uk 
indymedia punters that gives summaries of what is happening, whilst, at 
the same time, leaving the main reporting  to the de.indymedia site in 
english, and the de.imc timeline of events. I also don't think there's 
much point i duplicating work.

So PROPOSAL:

I would like to propose to keep the startpage special 'G8 2007 Ahead' 
on top throughout the week of mobilisations in Germany. Then, everyday, 
we could add a short summary to that day's events, and collecting 
whatever is posted to the uk wires. The prior day's summary can then be 
moved to the 'content' under the section I've created called "Daily 
Summaries of Events".

Ok, today (sunday) there are two summaries showing on the front page 
(saturday's and today's) but this is only to start with, and tomorrow 
morning we should move the saturday's into the content, and only leave 
sunday's in the abstract until someone can do a summary for monday, 
when we would move sunday's into the content, and so on.  I'd like  
propose to repeat this throughout the week.

Also, for this to work we should change the main pic everyday by 
putting a new one that reflects that day's event. Today I've put one 
about the demo in Rostock. In this way we make it clear that the 
feature is being updated at a daily basis.

I may be able to help out a bit with this tomorrow monday, but after 
that i'll be on the move, so I guess it'd be great if someone staying 
put could take this on and make sure it is being done regularly (daily 
would be great!)
