 I appreciate that people have a feeling of loyalty towards the poster - but I
do not think that we should be setting a precedent of editing posts without
express permission from the author - which we do not have (and  quite frankly
it would be crazy for any author to give cart blache permission for any post to
be edited.)

And if guy is pissed off - hopefully it will be at himself for using the term in
the first place.

The only immediate work around I can see is for someone to repost without the
offensive term. Which is something that anybody who looks at a hidden post
could do.
