Hello
Sorry, but i really don't understand what is Ben's issue with having
this feature up, even if i agree 100% with him when he said:

> celebrity politician making way for another doesn't seem quite right

But as Shiar and others pointed out, this feature is not about 'one
politician making way for another' damn b'stard, it is about anti-war
protests going on whilst this is happening. I think the title of the
feature makes this point straight: 'Anti-war greeting for Tweedle
Brown'.
Also, as for Ben's argument about 'leaving breathing space' between
features. I think it has been me who in the past has argued in favour
about a 'breathing space' in between features. But every time I have
done so, is because a feature has been put up immediately after another
(by this i mean less than 24h or so). I think if this was the case
between the GM one and the anti-war protests greeting Brown feature,
then I would support Ben's argument, but in fact the GM feat has been
on top for 2 days. I think this is enough 'breathing space' if
something else is going on, that makes someone put time and effort into
making a feature.
As for whether there is or not a feature about this in the London page.
Well, I very much doubt it will be actually. Doug said he would be
putting one up, but then withdrew from this with a mail to the london
list 'because there was one in the uk anyway'. I have not seen anyone
else from the London kollective offering to work a local feature on
this. So, in that sense, I am glad there is one in the UK's front page.
Moreover, to me the feature fits very well in the front page, as it is
a UK wide issue in the sense that the 'same' protests have
consecutively gone on in Manchester and London, and not because it
refers to a new PM moving in number 10. The feature is not about that
at all.

Indeed.
besides as phunkee said:

It is in mine too, and I do have an average size screen.
He also said:

Yes please!.
And please, lets try to be a bit more constructive about each others
work. There aren't so many people out there putting time and effort
into making features and running the indy back office. Both Chris and
Ben are one of these few, and i find it odd not to support each others
efforts. I guess i'm saying this for the usual tone people seem to talk
in the features list. It is more confrontational that I'd like it to
be, and this is not about not expressing disagreements.
Anyway, I think i better shut up now before someone reminds me that one
of my mails to this list not long ago (during the g8) was actually
shouting in a quite confrontational manner i guess. Ehem ...
Anyhows ...
