If press releases from the Mod and US Dept. of Defence
were posted to the site -- would you opposes these being
hidden because of "Open Publishing"?

Is this the kind of news you want to see:

  http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/DefenceNews/InDepth/UkMilitaryOperationsInIraq.htm

Because this is where the likes of "Paul Edwards" is
comming from politically...

But, I don't really have the answer to this problem -- I
don't think we can apply the same guidelines to comments
as to articles, if we did many more would need hiding.

Allowing pro-war comments and then rebutting them might
makes sense if you want people to have a chance to hone
their debating skills but my worry about this is that it
probably puts more people off than anything -- how many
people look at articles on Indymedia in order to see
debates with people posting comments in support of US /
Anglo imperialism in the Middle East?

Are more comments than necessary now being hidden? Do we
want to have a policy of allowing pro-Nuke and pro-Empire
comments posted to the site?

Chris
