[Imc-uk-features] Returning feature list to doing feature!

Hello all

I think we have enough information to base our decisions on over the
Greenstein/Atzmon discussion. The more long e-mails that get sent,
the less time anyone has to follow that debate - or to do the work on
this list that we need to do. Some might have noticed that since this
issue has arisen there have been few new features on the UK site.

So to move forward :

I will ask politely that - we get no more e-mails on this issue until
we have come to our collective decision (apart from our own work
towards a solution - see below for proposal). If people do not - then
i will in 1 week next propose that we hold mails on this issue in
admin.

I will organise a meeting in London for the indymedia people who want
to discuss this issue off list, together with other meeting held in
the network (or other indy folk are of course welcome to london
meet)- with the idea of bringing a proposal back to this list for
final concensus. At this meeting i will suggest we sit down with the
original text and related arguments - but also work towards a better
way of dealing with these long debates in individual postings that
are draining this list of its energy and volunteers. Maybe we need a
resolution list?

Then i hope this list can get back to its job of admin and feature
writing and supportive discussion of difficult mails - as a
collective with the same aim of seeing a well run indymedia site
working. I must admit the admin discussion on this issue has been ok
- it is the outside tactics and level of argument that is taking time
and prolonging the decision.

For London i will suggest a meeting on wed 21st Nov - details on London list.

cheers tony
