Isn't the conventional (best?) size 640x480px? And the commandline way
means portrait and landscape pics have the same width (or height), which
isn't good imho. Maybe add a step about putting them in separate folders
and running the command twice?

Also, people (well, I) have been removing the originals from the article
rather than unpublishing them.
