I don't understand what this means, guido has contributed more
"grassroots, non-corporate, non-commercial coverage of important social
and political issues" than any other single person I can think of in the
history of imc-uk. Personally, I regard him as the best contributor on
the whole newswire, although there are a few others (Rikki's SOCPA
series comes to mind) who are close.
Putting that aside for the moment... Danny, whoever you are, why is it
that all your messages talk about you? The newswire is a collective
space, where people can contribute something, anonymously, for the
common good. Your posts to this email list are all about "My story
this", "When I did that", blah blah blah. Here's a quick clue - nobody
cares. In my opinion, your posts are egocentric. Nobody cares about
your positions * just because they're yours*, or about how well you
defend them. We're not interested on this list, and I really doubt that
anybody on the site is.
You should take some time out and think about how you contribute to the
site, because personally I find your posts kind of, well, useless and
dirty. Other people contribute good material on an regular basis, and
it's not about how great the contributor is, it's about how great the
contribution is. It's about making the site better for everybody.
Now, would it be possible that a miracle could occur and people could
just stop responding to this email thread at some point soon?
