Hiya
I've just cached up with all the 'be the media' preparations for this
year's CC by looking through the links mick sends below. There's quite
a lot going on with this year's media / alt media set up! Nice one :-)
I like two things specially:
1.- the series of workshops in the 'be the media' spaces
2.- the fact that the whole alt media process this year seems to be a
bit more imbeded with the general cc camp process, making stronger
links with the camp's media team and so on ... which is something we
definitely missed the last two years .. even though i still think that
Indymedia managed to do, once again, the best reporting of both 2006
and 2007 camps .. hehe :-p
Anyhow, I think imcistas and other alt media bods should definitely
focus on creating independent and autonomous media out of this years
camp, and as i understand the set up being prepared, it facilitates
doing just that .. in our case, i guess, to do indy.
Anyhow ..

I think the IMC-UK's How to Publish Genny put together for last year's
camp is still very relevant, as well as a leaflet some london bods put
together called 'Indymedia and the Politics of Participation' (or
something lie that anyway)
London printed quite a bit of these last year, but I am not sure if
there are still many left. I've looked through the wikis to see if
there's any pdf of them, but i couldn't find it (i can't never find
anything in the wiki maze unless i know he exact url!)
But if pdf's exist Tony should have them, and if there are still hard
copies available probably Ana would know where. Are you two listening
this?

I think this is a good, albeit probably temporal idea (if I understand
well what you are saying). Otherwise yossarian has written a video
player thing that i don't know if it could be used for his at all. I
don't even know if that's what you are asking actually, but the one
yoss wrote works beautifully.
A big shout to those involved in this 'be the media' set up anyway.
