The basic rule (for indymedia uk at least) for an article to be a
feature is that it needs at the very least one link to the newswire.
further, there is this page explaining how to write a feature ...

So if you get the links and propose where to include them in the
proposed text, then the feature can be put up. Without links to the
wire, it can not be put up.
