That's good to hear, at least this is now sorted. I read the new server article, have to admit, didn't realise the cops still had the server, I read the press release but probably read over it, this article definitely makes it more obvious though, is well needed along with the call for support :)

As for the SHAC article, it'd probably be best as topic specials for the moment then (as well as on the front page) if somebody could do that soon, thanks in advance (and sorry I keep asking, but I'm hoping to get more involved soon to make things easier on others...)I'll give a thorough reply to your other concerns tomorrow hopefully, especially the facts on SHAC's website, I'll try and get in contact with someone about it. To anyone else wanting to reply though, don't feel you have to wait for me to reply first (as perhaps people did before), it really doesn't bother me. This issue is a lot more about smypathy to campaigns rather than support or involvement in them... regarding the reference to "extreme" views, misuse of IMC etc by others, which is common to indymedia by a variety of users. I'm also less understanding of the tolerance of indymedia to these incidences, hoping that it is impartial as always.

If one thing could be clarified first though, is this a general reference to extreme ideologies, or tactics? As animal liberation is not an extreme ideology for example, unless human liberation is/was as well, as it is a purely subjective term. I'd also (in general) like to know where the mission statement fits into all this, as (for example) vivisection is systematically dominant, whether for medicine or not, like it was in Nazi germany on human patients, from where results are still used today. Same with discrimination, which Indymedia UK states it opposes in all forms, for example to groups of species.

If its about tactics, then this is another issue from the same problem, as Indymedia understands that struggles take many forms. I guess I'm trying to say that its all about your perspection of what Indymedia is (or should) represent, which I personally don't think is that accurate when I read the mission statement that we should all be striving towards, whether we 100% support it or not; particularly the ideological viewpoints, points 2 and 3:

we reject all systems of domination and discrimination
we acknowledge that the struggle for a better world takes many forms. The focus of the Indymedia UK collective is on grassroots politics, actions and campaigns
