I have increased the number of links, it now includes a variety of newswire links from UK and London Indymedia, YouTube, three from SHAC, and others. This is not an advertising campaign for shac, this is a news feature. If it was an advert it would of said "join the demos", "smash hls" or something actually promoting SHAC. It's just like any other feature on the Smash EDO's topic page, its covering news in a radical light.

This wasn't the case and now is even less the case. The majority of links were and are to UK and London Indymedia, with three links to shac pages, three to win animal rights and two to bite back pages. With over 25+ links, I don't think that they either point to shac or other websites, quite the opposite. This was and is a ludicrous claim.

Firsltly: Slashing tyres as an act of sabotage to try and save lives is not despicable, and SHAC will never claim such a fallacy.

If you read "Bricks and Bullhorns", by political prisoner Kevin Jonas (SHAC 7 USA), you will realise that there is a SHAC bark and a SHAC bite. The former is the SHAC campaign, the later is the SHAC movement, which includes illegal actions. This is the same as the Smash EDO campaign, there are aboveground and underground actions for its closure.

SHAC also continue to show support for the non-violent underground movement, see the newsletters highlighting liberations and solidarity with prisoners. They even released the anonymous ALF video of the rabbit liberation at a HLS supplier early last year, so it isn't true that this doesn't come under the 'wider' banner of SHAC, as part of the movement, rather than the organisation. This is a reason for the SHAC newswire existing, for example.

> registration number, names of his family members, etc.

So what if there is a LINK to someone's personal information? It was ok with the BNP membership list wasn't it? That had a lot more person information than all of Bite Back

put together! Will we be next deleting the links to fascists that have been exposed as well as part of this routine?

There's nothing in the guidelines that says you can't link to a website that includes personal information, this is why users have done so in the past. If there were, next we would be deleting articles that mention the names of such websites. Utterly ridiculous.

 Indymedia UK's mission statement:

"we acknowledge that the struggle for a better world takes many forms. The focus of the Indymedia UK collective is on grassroots politics, actions and campaigns"
