I noticed that:
http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2010/04/449278.html
..had appeared as a regional feature on Oxford IMC, and was a bit annoyed
that no-one had mentioned it to our local collective before doing that.

Looks like it was originally proposed on imc-sheffield:
http://lists.indymedia.org/pipermail/imc-sheffield/2010-April/0418-1g.html

It's nice to have people willing to write features, and I don't want to
discourage that, but for future reference if you are ticking regions on a
feature you need to go through the feature approval process for each of
the regions (usually just proposing it to a list 24hrs before posting).

In practice this is not so much hassle, it just means cc-ing the regional
features lists when you propose it.

In the case of oxford our features list is:
imc-oxford-features at lists.indymedia.org

Cheers,

Oxford folks: we need to discuss whether we want this as a feature. It is
obviously related to the ongoing campaign against vivisection at Oxford
Uni, but as far as I can see none of the events being reported actually
took place at Oxford, and Oxford isn't mentioned anywhere in the abstract,
just later in the main body. Personally I think it's therefore a bit
tenuous, and have unticked it for now, but there are arguments for keeping
it and I'm potentially persuadable.
