hello,
speaking as an individual who has not been involved in either the mayday
collective or the 'be the media' project (although i am a member of the
london imc collective and a member of the imc-uk-features list), i do
not think this article is appropriate at the current time.
i think that if an article promoting the 'bethemedia' website is to be
published, it should be done with participation from people involved in
'bethemedia'. i think at present people are feeling overwhelmed
with the events of the past week or so, hence why there has been little
response so far.
the specific comments i have regarding this article, as proposed below,
are that it still comes across as sounding divisive, written with an
"us" v. "them" mentality. i'm sure this is not what is meant, but that's
how it feels to me.
thus, for the several reasons above, i do not think the proposal should
be published at the moment.
solidarity,
