Hi, someone warned me about that discussion, you must to know that is NOT a rumor but a sad reality...
A lot of us are fed up about eternal lies of some members of indy.be, that's why we're writing a text to describe the scary situation in Belgium. We hope this text will help people to understand. If you want already an idea, www.indymedia.be respects only 1 point of the POU... (the 9)

Thanks very much Nick, we see a bit the light in the long and tiring tunnel...

turlututu, from Imc Liege and one of many ex-members of www.indymedia.be.

I must say I am a little shocked by the methods used by some people.

Via via via .... we received this mail by Nick Cooper wich is clearly
part of a campaing against belgium.indymedia.org.
I do not think this is a constructive way to resolve the problems in the
Belgium IMC's. Not to speak about all the grotesk rumours and
conclusions featuring this mail.

I can understand that people have questions about the situation / the
differences / the functioning / .... of the different belgian IMC's and
that the flood of mails in the imc-process list does not always clarify
things.
That is why I would invite people to send question they have to
different belgian mailing lists, I ame sure you will get answers to your
questions.

Mail by Nick Cooper:
--------------------
There have been alot of proposal on imc-process about problems at the
Belgium IMC. Apparently, the collective has been taken over by a
Maoist
group which are ppaid by the Belgium Workers Party and 22 members have
been
kicked out. The group in charge has even blocked proposals to re-assign
the
belgium link on the cities list to a syndication site which includes
links
to their site as well as others in Belgium. I wanted to test out how
repressive the collective is and got a quick idea - an critique of
revolutionary communism I published was hidden (to read it you have to
hi-light it because it has been blacked out, but you will see it is not
exactly a personal attack).

Anyway, I think we should consense to support the Belgium-IMC people in
exile who wish to continue to do IMC work - here is one of their
postings.

The spokesperson of the communist group (Han) blocks this proposal
http://lists.indymedia.org/pipermail/imc-process/2004-September/0909-
l3.html
and responds that the conflict should be solved on a local level
http://lists.indymedia.org/pipermail/imc-process/2004-September/0909-

but thiis has been going on for three years now, and I think it is time
for
us to support the exiled members in having access to the belgium
indymedia
address they created.
Peace
Nick
