Common Place in Leeds sounds good to me.

http://thecommonplace.org.uk/

I was previously hoping it might be in Matilda (again sort of) but that
now seems unlikely.

How about September?

I would like to fix date soon so can organise family stuff around it.
Also chance for people to book cheap transport.

How about weekend of the 23rd/24th September?

This is a bit after Climate Camp finished. Gives us a enough time to
organise an agenda and rally IMCers to it.

Also the nights have not closed in for winter too much by then.

Previous network meeting info can be viewed via:

We may have to use another wiki while indy one down. feel free to create
new page on:

Also we have 2 IMC batteries stored in Infoseed
http://www.infoseed.org.uk 0131 225 6885 that can be used for temp IMCs
if people able to collect. But note computers often expect AC input not
battery DC as well as correct voltage so need to organise and test bit
of kit if used to power computers.

Also in Infoseed, the 2 PowerPC Macs (8100?) that were part of IMC
photodesk are still stored. There is no intention to use these in
infoseed or devote time to them as we have enough to be getting on with
other computers using free open source software and it is not easy to
put a Free OS such as GNU/Linux on those Macs. Also with move to MacOSX
time spent on computers with MacOS seems wasted. But they are usable
computers.
When I last heard from mini mouse when I asked him about these Macs when
future of Infoseed looked very uncertain he seemed to say that he just
wished them to go to good homes. If we come across someone who uses
older mac anyway we will give them to them as upgrade. We may also put
notice on freecycle email list etc. I myself have similar macs to give
away, but I wish to spend my time with computers using Free Software, so
like them they just age. But if any other IMCer wish to collect them
then do so.

cheers
