can you tell us more about this site? i think that previously, imc-uk has only
incorporated subdomains for potential groups if they were using mir, as there
was still the possibility that others from the united kollectives would be
helping to admin the newswire, etc. however, if it is a completely separate
system/database, i'm not sure that this is such a good idea.

again, i think that this depends more on the site - groups going through new-imc
(on an international level) are not allowed to use an indymedia.org domain name
until they've been through and completed the process, i.e. been accepted into
the network. until that point, they need to use an alternate name. however, it
should be pointed out that groups *have* gone through new-imc process without
actually having a site at all, so it is possibly better to focus on the group
meeting criteria rather than a functioning website.

nb. i'm not involved in new-imc so i may have misinterpreted this.

i'd like there to be quite a bit of discussion about this, as i think it is
something new at both a local (uk) and global level. i think that one weeks
discussion is probably insufficient and more time is probably required.

(for example, i currently have something like a 48+ hour turnaround on emails,
rather than the few hours that i desire)
