Hi Kriptick,

Speaking to Mick on the phone yesterday, he suggested we plum for doing
about 4 official workshops and set some times and give this to them.

So how about one a day perhaps in the morning. Say we opened the space
at about midday, and hence ran the workshop from 10.30 till noon?

Here are four suggestions that seem to galvanise things we're interested in:

* Be the media: doing grass roots media and using standard, mobile and
on-line tools (Mick/Ben)
* Keeping your data safe: Privacy, security and encryption (Mike+others)
* (Free software) Tools for video and photo editing: F-Spot, Avidemux,
Kdenlive, etc (Mick)
* Where we're at: reassessing alternative media and activist relations
with the mainstream - our goals and how well we've achieved them.
Content - spectacle, conflict and binary reporting in alt media vs
depth, documention, issues and solutions (Ben).

As a base set of four? We could always black-board up some others at
the camp if there's the call for them, and the resources/energy to do
them. How does that sound?

Now the camp starts on the 3rd, and the big day of action is the 9th.

So how about we do one a day, about midday (check this for clashes with
other things) on the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th. Then repeat the "Be the
media" one on the 8th and/or 9th in time for the day of mass action??

There we go, that's a plan, what do the rest of you reckon?

It would be good if we have 4 workshops with four different folk up for
organising them.

Perhaps we could nail this by the end of the weekend? Or is that asking
a bit much ...

Cheers,

Mike.
