streets/fields - your reports will be used to update the Indymedia
websites covering the camp.

There are three Indymedia reporting numbers (starting Wed 26th August):

07556 251 105 : For calling in reports from events - remember the 'who
what when where why'

08444 872 207 : For calling in to leave a short audio recording that
can be uploaded to the Indymedia websites.

07529 573 199 : For sending txt msg updates and MMS picture messages.

If you do send pictures or audio messages, do not forget to include
the location and time.
Think beforehand about the report you are going to call in or send,
and try to be as accurate as possible.

publishing, send to: imcreports at aktivix.org

Twitter and other TAGS:

the following tag in your message #climatecamp

If you are publishing media to other websites, again please add the
tags "climatecamp" "2009" to make finding the material easier.

At the Camp:

The Camp for Climate Action has a set of guidelines relating to media
and diy media - for info on DIY media check the camp handbook which
will be available onsite, for mainstream media access policy see
http://www.climatecamp.org.uk/press/media-access-policy

IMC Northern England will be providing facilities for campers to
upload news from the site. Find them in the Yorkshire Neighbourhood
marquee to find out more.

There are also diy media workshops taking place at camp (see

camp.

NB: The Indymedia reporting numbers are for informing Indymedia about
what is happening around the Climate Camp to enable an accurate
picture of the events to be reported on the Indymedia websites, they
are not an information line to give out information.

The reporting numbers are public and may be monitored by the police.

If you are using Twitter, a record of your message will be published
on your Twitter page.

If you are taking pictures or video, respect other people's desire not
to be filmed. Pictures and video can often help people prove their
innocence when arrested, however they can also incriminate people, so
think about what you shoot and be aware the police sometimes try to
confiscate recording equipment, media and film. For updates on police
powers regarding photography under sections 43 and 44 of the Terrorism
Act 2000 see http://photographernotaterrorist.org
