[Imc-uk-network] Idea for publish page

I've just quickly rattled off a really really sketchy and rough
demonstration of what I was thinking of doing for the new publish page at:
It would be great if people could have a quick look at this (bear in
mind this is in no way meant to be anything like a finished version,
particularly as it's currently sitting halfway down the page and the
areas for each IMC are pretty consistent with my geography skills - just
check out the twin Bristols if you don't believe me :-). I could really
do with some feedback to see if it is an idea worth pursuing or not, or
if a text only thing would be better (it will have text links as well mind).
Another thing now working is if a user is logged in (this is on it's
way), a button appears next to each article called "share" and will
instantly post the article via the users twitter/fb account (yes I know
- - this is configurable to non corporate things I hope but it is a demo),
and can also save searches of topics that are interesting to them.
Features (either aggregated from the regions and/or a "startpage
special" written directly to the site) will be up and running soon.
There is also the ability for logged in users to add comments if we
choose to use that.
I'm hoping that eventually it will be possible to add some kind of
geolocation tags to things published through the site so they show up
properly on the map that is generated from the feeds of where each
article relates to.
I'm currently trying to get some server space sorted to host a git/cvs
repository if anybody would like to get involved and lend a hand once I
do? Also, people can get involved through the CMS admin screen once I
have sorted a better place to host it out if they wish.
